usually reliable tax advice can only be obtained from a specialist.
My understandng,which is a modest informational attempt at best,is that canadian tax law
is based on residency and citizenship status.That means once you are no longer residing and earning an income in the country,you are not subject to tax on foreign income.But if you have left rentals or assets behind,tax applies.So my suggestion is to get in touch with an expatriate(or offshore) tax specialist and provide them with residency documents to work on .
